🤓 Mindfulness means maintaining a
moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations,
and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.
What are the
seven principles of mindfulness?
💫 Non-judging - accepting our
thoughts and feelings - whether positive or negative - and immersing
ourselves in the present moment without evaluating it.
💫 Patience - the ability to wait
calmly in the face of adversity, challenges, or frustration.
💫 Beginner's Mind - the development
of a mindset that is willing to see everything as though it is for the
first time.
💫 Trust - a believing in the basic
goodness of you, others and the world at large.
💫 Non-Striving - the absence of
devotion of serious effort or energy toward a task. In terms of
mindfulness practice, an attitude of non-striving is about non-doing
while undertaking the practice, trying less, and simply experiencing
the moment.
💫 Acceptance - perceiving your
experience and simply acknowledging it rather than judging it as good
or bad.
💫 Letting Go - present moment
awareness without judgment. When you start to pay attention to
thoughts and feelings through mindful practices, you're bound to
notice things you like. You're also bound to notice others you don't.
