Stomach examination
Gastroscopy is an examination of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, duodenum) using a gastroscope, a special instrument that is inserted through the mouth of the patient. Gastroscopy allows you to examine the state of the upper parts of the gastrointestinal tract in the most detailed way possible. This is necessary when:
- gastritis,
- duodenitis (inflammation of the duodenum),
- esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus),
- stomach or duodenal ulcers,
- in case of suspicion of tumors or bleeding of the above-mentioned organs.
