As you may know by now, traditionally in the tech industry developers
are divided into four gradations based on their qualification levels:
Junior,
Middle,
Senior
and Team Lead. Or five, if you include coding Interns as the
lowest-ranked “soldiers” of the software development industry.
Yet, this is my opinion, that seniority is relevant.
I have a degree in computer science yet I do not feel confident with
my coding skills.
I have also come across many good developers from non-tech fields and
self taught mostly, coding like pros. All I know is that you can be
senior after coding for one year and as good as a developer of 10 years.
No talent below the sun beats passion and consistence.
