Simple ways to reduce plastic in your everyday life
Plastic bags and plastic in general remains to be a huge threat to our
environment. Environmental campaigners tell us that once in the landfill,
the plastic will take about 1000 years before they decompose. They also
create a threat to wildlife! Generally, more than 260 species of marine
animals are affected by plastic debris in the ocean, either by digestion
or entanglement.
Together little by little we can all band together and make the world a
better more eco friendly place, for ourselves and our future.
Here are some simple steps you can take.
BYOB - 'Bring your own bag' switch to alternatives like
cloth bags, jute bags or eco-friendly bags made out of natural starches
and vegetable wastes instead of plastic bag, plus you save money!
Switch From Using Bottled Water - Nearly 38.5 million
plastic bottles are consumed every day all over the world, accounting
for roughly 40 per cent of plastic litter in our environment. Switch to
a more eco friendly reusable bottle or travel mugs like

Say NO To Straws - Much of the plastic that’s polluting
the oceans is microplastics, tiny chunks that are next to impossible to
filter out. Instead, opt for bamboo, steel or glass straws!
