A nominal historic region in western Ukraine, which unites Lemkivshchyna, Boykivshchyna and Hutsulshchyna - the habitats of mountain ethnic groups of Ukrainians. Here are the highest mountain ranges in Ukraine, a large number of reserves, nature and landscape parks, popular tourist routes, ski and balneological resorts.
The Carpathians are a place where many authentic crafts are preserved. Here, local people bake cheese and bread according to original recipes, sew traditional clothing and make musical instruments.
