Why did I tag it at as the world best meal?
Ofada rice is a popular rice variety in Nigeria. It is an indigenous
brown rice from a local community called Ofada in Obafemi Owode Local
Government Area of
Ogun state
in Nigeria. It is also called unpolished rice which is considered to be
more nutritious and healthier than white rice because unlike white rice
which has been stripped of its basic nutrients such as iron, vitamins,
zinc, magnesium and others nutrients during the refiming process, Ofada
rice still contains these basic nutrients.
The grains of ofada rice are stripped with strong pecular flavor and
taste when cooked. This brown rice is not only served as a special
delicacy at ceremonies or parties, it has become one of the favourities
in families' meal time-table. I am a Nigerian and it is also my fave 😋
. Ofada rice is cooked alongside the ofada stew (known as "Ata Dindin")
or ofada sauce ("Ayamase") .
