Blueberries are sweet, nutritious and wildly popular. Often labeled a superfood, they are low in calories and incredibly good for you. A type of flavonoid called anthocyanin gives blueberries many of their health benefits. Anthocyanin is responsible for the blueberry’s characteristic blue color. It also contributes to the numerous advantages of blueberries.

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook blueberries, sugar, & lemon juice in a saucepan over low heat for 25 minutes at a low boil until thickened slightly but still runny (think loose jam).
Place ice and non-dairy milk in a tall glass and pour the blueberry mixture over top and enjoy!
