New Moon🌑
The state when the moon is not visible
Waxing Moon🌒
The period between a new moon and a full moon during which the luminosity of the Moon increases from 0% to 100% and the angular distance of the Moon from the Sun changes from 0° to 180°:
- first phase - the period between the new moon and the first quarter
- first quarter, when half of the Moon is illuminated and the degree of illumination increases
- second phase, the period between the first quarter and the full moon
Full Moon🌕
The state when the moon is fully illuminated
Waning Moon🌔
The period between a full moon and a new moon, during which the luminosity of the Moon decreases from 100% to 0%, and the angular distance of the Moon from the Sun changes from 180° to 360°:
- third phase - the period between the full moon and the third quarter
- Third quarter - the state when half of the Moon is illuminated; the degree of illumination decreases
- Fourth phase, the period between the third quarter and the new moon
