Roller Skates were invented back in 1735 but were most popular in the 1970's through 1980's. Today there are two different types of skates: quads which are the traditional ones with the for wheels, two in the front and two in the back, and inclines which are all four wheels on one straight line. A fun fact about roller skating is that it uses 80% of your bodies muscles creating a fantastic cardio workout.
