TRAVEL WITH ME!
For travel lovers, check those tips to see how you can travel
the cheapest way possible!
- MONEY & TRAVEL Both of them bring happiness, working too much to get money can bring a lot of stress and fatigue to our life. In-order to avoid this, we should have some time to relax and break the routine, to-reboost our energy back to the life duties and our goals. Travelling is generaly known as a stress-relief and one of the best ways to learn more about other cultures and history. But how can we travel within our budget and not getting broke as well 😅?
Therefore I am going to share with you some of my tips:
-
1. Research Where: This can look obvious, but making research in which city or country that could be within your budget (as some cities are more expensive than others), you can eventually spend the same amount of money within 3 days in one city or 7 days in another city with a cheaper lifestyle.
-
2. Research When: Try to avoid public holidays or summer mainly months (July, August for the Northern Hemisphere or January, February to the South Hemisphere) as it will be the more expensive unless you have booked several months in advance.
-
3. Reservations: Flights, Buses and Trains tickets should be booked in advance. Best prices are usually before 3-4 weeks especially for international flights. As for Low-Cost Airlines, the earlier flight is normally the cheapest, as once you see a good price try to book it ASAP! Prices will rise day by day and usually each Monday morning is going to be higher than the week before. The best websites to book and to compare flights : Kayak, Skyscanner , Momondo and Googleflights.
Another useful website to compare between all of the buses, trains and flights in the same time is Omio.
-
4. Where to sleep: the best and most commonly used websites to book your stay are : Booking, Hostelworld, Expedia and Airbnb.
Choosing where to sleep sometimes can be tricky, you have to make good research before, for example I do check not only the pictures that were posted by the previous websites, but also the pictures that were uploaded by travellers themselves on Tripadvisor 😉, with this you can have a different side view and not only the pictures that the owners wants show.
Other relevant topics you should take in consideration while booking a place to stay : where is the safest areas to stay? Where are the most popular places to visit and hang out? Is public transportation expensive? In general, the location is what makes each hostel/hotel/apartment more or less expensive, but always chose a safe location first and close to transportation! As you might be back late, after dinner or leaving the bar with friends, and you don´t want to go back late at night into a bad area or to a small hidden street 🐱👤!
-
Extra tips 😎! Take with you a bottle of water as this can be expensive in some areas, some snacks or energy bars from the nearest supermarket! It´s always a good idea to have an extra pair of underwear plus socks, photocopies of your documents and the address of your Hostel/Hotel in a piece of paper.

And that´s a wrap! Hope you had enjoyed it!
