What is Meditation Anyway?


Meditation is an ancient practice that dates back thousands of years. Despite its age, it's still common worldwide because it's a simple practice which can reduce stress, increase calmness and clarity, and promote happiness.

There is no one correct way to meditate because meditation can take many different forms. Some types of meditation involve maintaining mental focus on a particular sensation, such as breathing, a sound, a visual image, or a mantra. Others include the practice of mindfulness, which involves maintaining attention or awareness on the present moment without making judgments.

To begin, just sit comfortably. Breathe. Close your eyes if you'd like to. Give yourself some space and forgiveness. That's it - you're doing it!
