Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East
London, in 1975 by bassist and primary
songwriter Steve Harris. The band's
discography has grown to 41 albums, including 17 studio albums, 13 live
albums, four EPs, and seven compilations. They have also released 47
singles and 20 video albums.

Iron Maiden received critical acclaim for their third studio album, "The Number of the Beast", which was released in March of 1982. This was the first album to include the iconic vocalist Bruce Dickinson.
The album cover features the band's mascot, "Eddie". Eddie's zombified face can be found on every Iron Maiden album cover, up to 2021's "Senjutsu".
